TECHNOLOGY AND NATURAL SCIENCE
GK Design Group was established in 1952. Having started with Industrial Design and been structuring a consolidated system since then. Respective firms of GK have been employing consortium type of business policy, while keeping the distinction of each entity’s expertise, in responding to the necessity of a project. The policy GK Group to perform consolidated and consistent design work ranging from soft to hard, in multi facet design realms, is no more than to answer different requirements of times. By having a base and a cooperating firm abroad, GK has corresponding to an international need, too. GKDI has been active in many kinds of design work, by placing professional capability of graphic design in its core, under the cooperation and coordination of the group organizations.

GEO-COSMOS 2011
The Geo-Cosmos is a display of the earth to show it as a planet floating in the universe. The surface of the earth is reproduced with a super high resolution image. This symbol image of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation was renewed at the occasion of its 10th anniversary, and it now acts as a part of the “Tsunagari” Project for understanding the earth.

2011 Cutting-Edge
The use of LEDs for the first Geo-Cosmos was changed to organic LEDs for the new one, and pixel density was increased to more than 10 million. The system and environment for projection was also newly developed, thus, the quality and quantity of contents have been significantly upgraded.

GK TECH specializes in technology development-oriented design that integrates design and technology, techno art, design simulation, interface development, and transportation design.

This activity is to provide people with a system to be a catalyzer of “understanding” science. Also this is to provide the system in which people find interest and inquiring spirits by themselves. These are a series of works placing science as a new realm of design.
